Her husband, Ereneo, makes a living driving a sugarcane truck during milling season. When the mills close for the season, he drives a motorcycle and sometimes helps his wife with her business. To help her husband meet their family's needs, she joined NWTF-Project Dungganon in 1999 to earn additional income. She began by buying and selling fruit in front of their house. Then she began selling clothing, where she earned enough money to help tremendously with her family's needs. As she secured additional loans, she looked for other ways to earn money. Now she makes a living selling fish to people in her local community. From this businesses, she earns a minimum of PHP 11,800 per month. This has allowed her to educate her children and meet many household expenses.
Florenda's previous loan of Php19,500 was used for her fish-selling business. She paid it on time and without any delay. Now she has applied for a new loan of PHP 19,500 which we will use to sell fruits and selling of fruits and clothing.
